Rationale
Not
to us, O Lord, not to us, but to thy name give glory.
- Psalm 115:1
We conceived this celebration not to receive honor but to give honor. Even the music is mostly not about us, but about Him. We are marrying because we believe God will receive greater honor if we are together than if we are apart. We have gathered here to worship Him. We pray you will sense His supernatural presence today as you witness two people resolving in a new way not to live for themselves alone.
- Michael and April
Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one... Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
- Mark 12:29-30

O Worship the King
O worship the
King, all glorious above,
O gratefully sing His power and His
love;
Our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days,
Pavilioned
in splendor, and girded with praise.
O tell of His
might, O sing of His grace,
Whose robe is the light, Whose canopy
space,
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form,
And
dark is His path on the wings of the storm.
Thy bountiful
care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in
the light;
It streams from the hills, it descends to the
plain,
And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.
Frail children of
dust, and feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to
fail;
Thy mercies how tender, how firm to the end,
Our Maker,
Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.
Words: Robert Grant, Edward E. Bickersteth and William Kethe, 1561-1833
Music: Attributed to Johann M. Haydn (1737-1806), arranged by William Gardiner, 1815
